Philippians (Program #36) -The Riches of the Bountiful Supply of the Spirit Embodied in the Word

The religious world always seeks to do a big outward work but God wants to do an inward work, to come into man to be his life and everything. And He does this through the bountiful supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ that is embodied in the Word. Today pointing us once again to the indwelling Christ and how we can practically live by Him and overcome so many things in our lives.

It’s good to come back to the inward working of the Triune God. Truly God wants to enter into us and He wants to live in us and He wants to express through us.

This wonderful person of Christ wants to indwelt us and work within us to accomplish His purpose. And we are going to hear the striking word: the basic thought of the whole Bible is that God as the Triune God wants to work Himself into man. If we were to ask a thousand people on the street of what is the basic thought of the whole Bible, how many would have any answer at all?

Job (Program #13) – The Final Outcome, Under God’s Consummation

Job was a man fully absorbed in seeking to be upright, perfect and righteous before God. And without dispute, he had obtained much of what he sought after. Yet the book of Job reveals that God would never be satisfied by having His people obtain just a high and ethical condition such as Job’s. And so bit by bit Job was led progressively to lose all his natural attainments and with their loss also came the loss of his trust and reliance upon himself. Listen to Job 42:5-6, “I had heard of You by the hearing of the ear, But now my eye has seen You; Therefore I abhor myself, and I repent in dust and ashes.” Not until so much of his self has been stripped away did Job begin to gain something of God and to have God Himself added to his being. This is the ultimate revelation of the book of Job and the ultimate revelation of the entire Bible.

Philippians (Program #35) – Living Christ by Receiving the Word Through the Spirit

Do you ever wonder how the Christian life can be more practical to you or how you can experience the rich Christ that you heard spoken of.

We are touching the things that are most burdened with. To review some of the key verses and in this comparison we have been looking at the two verses, Philippians 1:19-20 “For I know that for me this will turn out to salvation through your petition and the bountiful supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, According to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I will be put to shame, but with all boldness, as always, even now Christ will be magnified in my body, whether through life or through death.” And the comparison we are going to see 2:12 and16.  Verse 12 “So then, my beloved, even as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only but now much rather in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; and verse 16, “Holding forth the word of life, so that I may have a boast in the day of Christ that I did not run in vain nor labor in vain.”

Job (Program #12) – Man Moving in God’s Move and God Moving in Man’s Move

As the New Testament era opened, a dramatic change occurred in the way that God moves to accomplish His purpose on the earth. God’s move was then inextricably linked to man; that means that God ceased to move apart from and independent of man. Of course, the man that God used for His move was Jesus Christ, who we know was also God. That’s why the high priests, the elders and even the officials of the Roman government could not determine whether the activities of Jesus were the activities of a man or of God. Actually, His actions were the actions of the first God-man. Today God is still operating in this principle. The principle of His moving into man, in man and through man. This is the principle of incarnation. “In the beginning was the Word”, John says, “…and the Word was God and the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us”. (John 1:1, 14)

Philippians (Program #34) – To Live Christ by the Spirit

If you were asked what’s the goal of the Christian life, how would you respond? How would most people respond?  A likely answer might be the goal of the Christian life is to go to heaven. This might be the most frequent answer to this question. But it is not an answer that the Bible supports. Philippians gives us some help in answering this question. Job (Program #11) – The Third of the Three Rounds (4) – Job’s Final Speaking (2)

Job chapter 29 brings us to a scene that most of us can relate very well to. At this point in the book, Job is once again pouring out to his friends concerning the terrible sufferings that God had visited upon him. And in this discourse, he was reliving many of the fond recollections of the glories of his past experience. How often do we dwell in the past when we are languishing in the depths of our present despair?  But Job was also drawing upon his past successes in order to build a defense so that he could plead his case before God. A case that was totally built upon his own righteousness.

Philippians (Program #33) – The Bountiful Supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ for Magnifying Christ

In Genesis the first book in the Bible, the Spirit is simply called the Spirit of God.  By the time we come to the gospel this Spirit has become the Holy Spirit.  And in the Epistles the Spirit of Jesus Christ.  Would the Bible used such term lightly or without significance?  One thing we can say about the Bible, it is no way light or insignificant. This Spirit of Jesus Christ as Paul refers to it in Philippians becomes the bountiful supply of our daily even moment by moment salvation. Job (Program #10) – The All-Inclusive Spirit as the Consummation of the Processed and Consummated Triune God

The book of Philippians refers in chapter 1 to the bountiful supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ in verse 19. By which we live Christ, magnify Christ, pursue Christ and gain Christ. By this bountiful supply of the Spirit we can count everything as loss and as refuse. Because Job did not have this Spirit, he was overly sensitive toward God and toward his friends. He had no joy and he never rejoiced. But the apostle Paul having this Spirit, rejoiced even in prison according to Acts 16:25.

Philippians (Program #32) – Grace, Salvation, the Spirit and Christ

Is grace just something you call amazing when you sing that famous song? Or do you experience grace to the extent that you called it my grace as apostle Paul did in Philippians 1:7.   Do you know really know what it means to magnify Christ in your daily life as Paul did in Philippians 1:20?   Or is Christ just a doctrine to you that never make it out of your Sunday morning service?   We hope you all are experiencing the marvelous, personal, saving Christ day by day in an intimate way, if you are, you will really enjoy today’s program because it is very much on this experiential side. Job (Program #9) – The Second of the Three Rounds (4) – Job’s Complaint

Job 19:25-27 say, “But I know that my Redeemer lives, And at the last He will stand upon the earth; And after this body of mine is destroyed, Outside my flesh I will look on God, Whom I, even I, will look on for myself, And my eyes will see; I, and no other.
