Many Christians believe their ultimate destiny is to go to heaven. But this verse, at the end of the Bible in the book of Revelation, shows us that the New Jerusalem comes down out of heaven from God. Today is the first of six programs that we are going to have dealing with the New Jerusalem, which is really the ultimate destiny of the believers.

Esther (Program #2) – The Open Salvation of the Hiding God in Secrecy

The story recorded in the book of Esther is for the keeping of the lineage of the genealogy of Christ through the survival of Israel in their captivity that Christ might be brought into the human race. If all the Jews had been destroyed during the time of Esther, which was what Satan’s plot was, then there would have been no lineage of Christ’s genealogy for Christ to be brought into humanity.

Nehemiah (Program #5) – The Leadership of Nehemiah for the Reconstitution of the Nation of God’s Elect

Nehemiah loved God and he loved God’s interest on earth concerning His economy. This interest included the good land, the temple and the city of Jerusalem all of which Nehemiah loved. Even though he was a common person, without a rank such as that of a king or of a captain in the army, he took care of God’s interest on the earth.

Nehemiah (Program #4) – The Reconstitution of the Nation of God’s Elect (2)

The books of Ezra and Nehemiah bear a strong intrinsic significance for the Lord’s recovery today. We should not think that the Old Testament is unrelated to us. The Bible is written in two sections – the Old Testament and the New Testament. The first section contains pictures while the second section contains the fulfillment of what is signified by the pictures. Without an intrinsic understanding of the Old Testament types, it is not easy to understand the fulfillment of God’s economy in the New Testament.

Numbers (Program #32) – A Vital Sketch of the Divine Revelation (2)

Apparently, the Old Testament has nothing to do with the church.  After all, the church didn’t even come into being until the book of Acts.  Actually however, the history of Israel recorded in the Old Testament is a picture of the church and the church life.  If we have this view, this understanding, we will see that the divine revelation in the Old Testament books such as Exodus, Leviticus and Numbers give us a picture and a full type of the church in the mystical union with the all-inclusive Christ.

Philippians (Program #59) – Highlight Portions

Apostle Paul wrote to the Philippians, “For I know that for me this will turn out to salvation through your petition and the bountiful supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I will be put to shame, but with all boldness, as always, even now Christ will be magnified in my body, whether through life or through death.  For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.”  These words from the apostle Paul from the first chapter of this book perhaps summarize better than any, the essence of the Epistle of Paul to the Philippians.  A book focus on the experience of Christ, experiencing Him in every situation, magnifying Him whether through life or through death.

Welcome to our final broadcast from the life study of Philippians. We have a special program today.  We have enjoyed a tremendous life study through the past weeks and months as we have explored the riches in this book of Philippians. For the sake of those who perhaps missed many of the programs we decided for our final broadcast today to go back to the weeks to pick up a few highlight portions and try to bring them together to give you a taste and idea of what we have experience and enjoy in this tremendous life study.
