Acts (Program #31) – The Propagation in Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria through the Ministry of Peter’s Company (23)

When was Christ crucified for us? Of course we know that He died on the cross about 2000 years ago. But, how then do we understand Revelation 13:8 that says, the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. Within this apparent paradox lies a marvelous realization that will greatly benefit how we approach many aspects of our Christian life.

John (Program #23) – The Need of the Thirsty – Life’s Quenching (1)

According to the book of Revelation, our ultimate destination is not heaven; it’s not a mansion; it’s the city of God, the New Jerusalem that comes down out of heaven. This city is not a physical, material city.

Today we come to chapter 7 of John and “The need of the thirsty – life’s quenching”  Witness Lee actually begins his message with reference back to chapter 5 verse 39..

Daniel (Program #17) – The Visions of the Overcoming Daniel (7)

The book of Daniel in the Old Testament covers a wide span.  If we have the proper understanding, Daniel shows us the entire Bible actually from Genesis to Revelation.  In fact, it could be said that without Daniel there is no way to understand the Bible as the single unique, divine revelation available to mankind.  We come to our final program today on this life study of Daniel…

Mark (Program #23) – The Move of the Slave-Savior’s Gospel Service (11)

In Mark chapter 8 the Lord Jesus taught His disciples that they need to deny themselves, just as He also teaches us that so that Christ could be their replacement and become everything to them as He wants to be everything to us.

Although the disciples saw this revelation they did not practice it or live according to it. To see the revelation is one thing but to live it is another.

Ezekiel (Program #24) – The River Flowing from the House

An outstanding feature that appears again and again throughout the pages of the Bible both in the Old Testament and the New is a river. The river was prominent in Genesis and the river appears in the books of history and the books of the prophets in the Old Testament. This river is still flowing in the gospels especially in the Gospel of John where the river flows out of the pierced side of the Lord Jesus. And it continues to flow right through the final chapters of Revelation where it is seen proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb in the New Jerusalem. In all of these mentions the river is a very positive factor, very much related to the matter of the divine eternal life. One of the more striking appearances that this river makes is in Ezekiel 47 where it’s seen flowing out of the house of God. In this chapter it becomes a deep river – too deep and too wide to be passed over. The one that we have no choice but to abandon ourselves to and swim in.

Ezekiel (Program #17) – The Vision of the Holy Building of God

God’s eternal goal is a holy building which is how the book of Ezekiel concludes starting in chapter 40. The three previous sections in Ezekiel are for this final last section starting in chapter 40. That is, the glory of the Lord in chapter 1, the judgment of God from chapters 2 to 32, and, the recovery of the Lord by life from chapters 33 to 39 are all for the holy building of God which is covered in Ezekiel chapters 40 to 48. Today, you’ve joined us as we begin this final section in Ezekiel touching God’s goal – His holy building.

Ezekiel (Program #5) – Eagle’s Wings, Man’s Hands, and Calf’s Hoofs

Ezekiel, like the books of Daniel which is also in the Old Testament and Revelation in the New Testament, is a book of signs and figures typifying important spiritual realities. It begins with a storm wind and a cloud with a fire out from which is a golden silver glowing called the electrum. And out of these four comes an indelible image – an image of four living creatures joined together to produce one corporate expression. The details of these four living creatures occupy much of Ezekiel chapter 1; and each of the details is worth our examination because each aspect of this mysterious image reveals much about God’s purpose as well as about our genuine experience of Him in the Christian walk and life. Let’s remember from our previous program that in each of these four living creatures itself has four faces – here’s Ezekiel 1:10 “As for the likeness of their faces, they had the face of a man; and the four of them had the face of a lion on the right side, and the four of them had the face of an ox on the left side, and the four of them had the face of an eagle.”

Ezekiel (Program #3) – The Wind, the Cloud, the Fire, and the Electrum

At the beginning of the book of Ezekiel, there are some very striking verses that talks about the heavens being opened and Ezekiel seeing visions of God. And then in verse 3 it talks about the word of God coming expressly to Ezekiel. And then, the hand of Jehovah was upon him.

Ezekiel (Program #1) – Introduction (1)

One book in the Bible that always seem to stir interest is the book of Revelation. This book gives the account of the apostle John receiving the revelation from God. This revelation actually came as John saw vision after vision, prophetically revealing the key elements of God’s eternal plan. But if one is really to understand the book of Revelation, it is equally important to know the parallel Old Testament book, the book of Ezekiel. Ezekiel and Revelation go together in many critical aspects as you’ll see in the coming weeks.

Jeremiah (Program #21) – The Principle of Being One with God

Let me ask you, “What is sin?” As you ponder this great and universal question and before you begin enumerating any number of transgressions that would easily fall into the general category of sin, please consider that the Bible makes a clear distinction between “sin” and “sins”. Sins are the by products of the principle of sin. So, once again let me ask, “What is sin”? Well if we drop our own speculations and restrict our consideration to the clear revelation of the Bible, we realize that sin is fundamentally a matter of leaving God and doing something by ourselves and for ourselves. In other words, sin is to take anything other than God as our unique source. He desires to be the source of our life, of our living and even of our satisfaction. Any departure from taking Him as our source is sin and it will unavoidably result in innumerable sins. In that light, now let’s consider these verses from the very beginning of the Bible, Genesis 2:9, 16-17 “And out of the ground Jehovah God caused to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food, as well as the tree of life in the middle of the garden and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. And Jehovah God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden you may eat freely … But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, of it you shall not eat; for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”
