After Pentecost, there is a new creation on the earth, and that is the most monumental fact of that day. God poured out of His Spirit to create a new entity on the earth, and this is called the Church.

On the day of Pentecost, the first gospel message was preached by a New Testament apostle. Peter, standing with the eleven, unveiled a clear and prevailing word that brought thousands to Christ on that monumental day. The content of Peter’s message remains powerful today, and presents an example of gospel preaching worth our full examination. We continue that examination today on the life study of the Bible.

And suddenly there was a sound out of heaven, as of a rushing violent wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.”  One of the pivotal events in the history of God’s move on earth occurred on the day of Pentecost. The believers were filled with the Spirit, and the Church, as the body of Christ, was ushered in powerfully.

But he said, Lord, permit me to go first and bury my father. But He said to him, Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and announce the kingdom of God everywhere. And another also said, I will follow You, Lord; but first permit me to say farewell to those in my house. But Jesus said to him, No one who puts his hand on the plow and looks behind is fit for the kingdom of God.”

In order to find out what the Lord is doing after His ascension, we need the book of Acts. Acts 1:5 says, “For John baptized with water, but you shall be baptized in the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”   And Act 1: 8 says, “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and unto the uttermost part of the earth.“
