Genesis (Program #125) – Joseph’s Living Corresponding with His Vision

Today we are going to look at Joseph and I think that nearly every child that has gone to Sunday school has probably loved the story of Joseph.  He seems to be such an attractive figure.  But the real spiritual attribute or characteristic of his life symbolizes much more than just another hero of the Old Testament.

Acts (Program #24) – The Propagation in Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria through the Ministry of Peter’s Company (19)

The real Gospel preaching is preaching from the Word of God with Christ, His person and His work as the center, and always paying attention to the leading of the Spirit by remaining in fellowship with Him moment by moment.

The book of Acts relates many marvelous stories of the experiences of the first-century believers. These stories can entertain but more important, they are a pattern, an example to us that we see from the church life as the Lord initiated it on the earth. One such story is that of the Ethiopian eunuch, and how Philip happened upon him and lead him to a full and meaningful salvation. We will pick up that story and all its meanings for us on today’s life study of the Bible.

Genesis (Program #124) – The Reigning Aspect of the Matured Israel (1)

Today we come back to Joseph again in the aspect of his maturity in Christ.  Joseph is a very special character in the Bible, a full type of Christ.  But one that must be seen together with his father Jacob to fully appreciate his significance.  What does this mean as we study these men of the Old Testament that we have seen so much of in this past month?

Acts (Program #23) – The Propagation in Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria through the Ministry of Peter’s Company (18)

The early Church life of the saints in first-century Jerusalem was typified by extremes in their environment. On the one hand, the Lord was moving mightily among them and their enjoyment of Christ was nearly boundless. But outwardly, their environment was harsh due to the oppression and persecution by the religious and political leaders. This persecution resulted in the eventual scattering of believers away from Jerusalem. But, this scattering was used by God to spread the Gospel into new regions. Stay with us for another remarkable exploration of the book of Acts on today’s life study of the Bible.

Genesis (Program #123) – The Manifestation of Maturity (7)

We have a wonderful and touching life study today when we see Jacob at the end of his life near his departure.

Describing Jacob’s spiritual experience throughout the whole of his life, Witness Lee uses the metaphor of a great runner or racer.  When it started very slowly but finished in a strong and marvelous way.  How does this applies to Jacob?

Acts (Program #22) – The Propagation in Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria through the Ministry of Peter’s Company (17)

The Kingdom of God must be preached, and must be in our preaching of the Gospel. Otherwise Christ is not the King, He is only a savior that satisfies our need but doesn’t accomplish God’s goal.

After a glorious beginning, the church in Jerusalem underwent a sudden turn and persecution fell heavily upon the church. The trouble and persecution became so heavy that nearly all the believers except the apostles were forced to leave. They were scattered, to use the Bible’s own phrase.  Was this just God’s enemy reacting to the early success of the gospel or was this a genuine move of God under his sovereign hand? Stay with us for an enlightening and compelling look at the Gospel as it was spread in the first-century church on today’s life study of the Bible.

Acts (Program #21) – The Propagation in Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria through the Ministry of Peter’s Company (16)

Fifteen thousand in the Church. They all left to other cities and other places, preaching the Gospel everywhere. Can you imagine the activated Body of Christ with every member going out to announce this resurrected and ascended Christ to propagate Him? This is the real preaching of the Gospel.

We have an extraordinary and poignant program on today’s life study of the Bible. We have the inspiring account of a first century martyr on today’s program. But, these stories are not limited to the first century, even in the 20th century. Saint’s suffering for the gospel of Christ and His New Testament ministry continue.

Genesis (Program #122) – The Ultimate Consummation of God’s Operation in the Bible

As this book is the book of all the seeds of the truth contained in the Bible.  The conclusion of this chapter must correspond with the conclusion of the whole Bible.  At the end of the whole Bible, we all can see in the last two chapters of Revelation there are two main things; the universal blessing and the eternal dwelling of God with man.  The blessing is universal and the dwelling is eternal…

Genesis (Program #121) – The Spiritual Significance of Joseph and Benjamin (3)

If you had previously thought that God’s plan was just to take us to heaven, you would most definitely want to stay with us for another marvelous life study of Genesis with Witness Lee.   God’s plan is much higher than that as we will see in today’s message.  We have a life study today that may challenge some of our old understandings of God’s ultimate plan for us.

Today brings us to the final of the nine programs that we devoted to this chapter.  It’s going to conclude today with a further word regarding God and man’s mutual habitation, the New Jerusalem.   Many Christians today are not that familiar with this term the New Jerusalem yet it certainly is found in the Bible.  But they are very comfortable with the term and the concept of heaven.   Are these two things the same?

Acts (Program #20) – The Propagation in Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria through the Ministry of Peter’s Company (15)

In the book of Acts, there is an inspiring account of the martyrdom of a genuine saint in the early Church. Yet, the story of the stoning of Stephen, even more than a rich example for our faith, contains marvelous and meaningful implications even for us today. We’ll go beyond just a simple account of this great Bible story on today’s life study of the Bible.
