1 & 2 Samuel (Program #18) – The History Concerning David (5)

Saul, the first king of Israel, had a marvelous beginning, but the most tragic ending imaginable. In the Old Testament story of this tragic inclusion to Saul’s life, there are a number of valuable things that we, the New Testament believers, can learn concerning God’s economy. Foremost among them is the fundamental problem that Saul had, and that is that despite his early glory and successes, he was never properly related to God’s economy–God’s desire to build himself a house, and ultimately His kingdom. Romans (Program #41) – Saved in Life from Sin and Worldliness

We can draw water from the wells of salvation and we can be saved day by day in His life. The Bible is a book of life. The gospel of John reveals Christ as life to us but Romans brings us fully into the experience of this life.

Isaiah (Program #23) – Christ as the Servant of Jehovah (10)

A tremendous verse in the New Testament book of Galatians tells us “I am crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live but it is Christ who lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live in faith, the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.”  This is Galatians 2:20.  Actually the type of this marvelous truth of the Christian life is displayed in the Old Testament book of Isaiah.  Mankind in general and we specifically were all “fired” and replaced by the victorious Christ.  This is the theme of this great Old Testament book of prophecy and also the theme of today’s program on the life study of the Bible.
