John (Program #21) – The Need of the Hungry – Life’s Feeding (1)

When Christ came to this earth, he didn’t come to be a giant in religion. He was born in a small manger. He came from a lowly family. He was a small carpenter. This meant that he was approachable and available to every man to be man’s life supply.

We come to a new section in the gospel of John today.  Chapter 6 brings us to the well-known story of the Lord feeding of the thousands with the five loaves and two small fish.  There are so many pictures portrait in this chapter.

Mark (Program #46) – A Life Fully According To and For God’s New Testament Economy (2)

Most readers of the Bible appreciate the gospel of Mark partially as a wonderful collection of the stories concerning the miracles of Jesus. But much more than the mere collection of the Bible stories, during the course of this life study of the book of Mark, we have been brought into the view, that what Mark really presents is the biography of another kind of person, another kind of living, another kind of humanity, another kind of life, the life of the Godman, Jesus Christ. He was one Who fully rejected His natural life, even allowing that He would be put to death in every way. Instead He lives moment by moment by the very divine life that was also present within Him.

This brings up for our consideration today a profound and utterly crucial question, do we have the realization that the divine life of God is also present within us, and available for us to live by moment by moment?

1 John (Program #16) – Conditions of the Divine Fellowship (9)

John first epistle as a continuation of his gospel stresses the eternal life. And specifically the fellowship or flow of this divine life that is available for all of us as His children to experience.

But though our salvation is unconditional there are conditions for us to stay in the fellowship of life experimentally. The first of this condition is found in chapter one and this is a basic requirement for every believer to maintain their enjoyment of Christ as life.

1 John 1:7, 9
7 “But if we walk in the light as He 1is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from every sin.

9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Keeping sure account by confessing our sins before God is vitally important. But John brings us another important condition for maintaining the fellowship of life and that is to love the brothers.
