Lust, pride and the love of riches, these are 3 scorpions that plague virtually every human being.  Many people come to Christ motivated by the desire to be free from the sting of these scorpions.  As God’s people, we must ultimately experience this kind of freedom.  But deliverance from these can never be attained by mere will power or determination.   As we consider this account in Matthew 19 and how much these things will affect our ultimate standing in God’s kingdom.

1 Timothy (Program #11) – Dealing with Slaves and Money Lovers

The apostle Paul repeatedly recommended his disciple Timothy, to healthy words or healthy teachings. But we all have the experiences of seen the televangelist or hearing radio preachers that gave us the distinct sense that this was not healthy but rather was more in the realm of money loving or pride.

Today’s life study from 1Timothy chapter 6 will talk about pride and profit, connecting the different teachings with the money lovers.
