Romans (Program #52) – Serving in the Gospel of His Son

In Romans chapter one, we’re exhorted to serve in the gospel of His Son. We may think that this means just to preach the gospel, but we’ll find out today in the Life-Study of the Bible with Witness Lee that to serve God in the gospel of His Son is far more involved than simply telling people the good news of Christ’s salvation.

This title “Serving in the Gospel of His Son” comes from verse 9 of Romans 1 where Paul says “God is my witness, whom I serve in my spirit in the gospel of His Son”. Then in verse 1 of the same chapter, Paul said that he’s separated unto the gospel of God. What we’ll see in this broadcast and what we need to see is that when we refer to the gospel, we’re talking about the full gospel of God. more…

Acts (Program #35) – The Propagation in Asia Minor and Europe through the Ministry of Paul’s Company (1)

There are many stages throughout history in God’s move and work among mankind on the earth. Much of the Bible is occupied with these stages.  The great turn of the Lord’s spread during the book of Acts was to the Gentile world, opening a door to eternal life and the Kingdom of the Heavens to all who would take freely the eternal life of God in Christ Jesus. We’re still enjoying this turn today nearly 2000 years later. For this major step in God’s move, the Apostle Paul was raised up sovereignly by the Lord to be the Apostle to the uncircumcision. And, Peter’s ministry was brought to a wonderful and victorious conclusion. We examine both of these stories on today’s life study of the Bible.

Matthew, Luke and John all begin one way or another with the origin of Jesus Christ.  Matthew shows us His kingly genealogy.  Luke, His human genealogy.  And John, His divine, eternal origin as the Son of God.  But Mark begins not with the genealogy rather with the gospel. “The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ.”  What is the gospel?  Well, Roman tells us that the gospel is the glad tidings, the good news. The reality of that good news is Jesus Christ our savior. And as Mark shows us the slave of God serving His people.

Hebrews (Program #43) – Christ’s Sacrifices Replacing and Terminating Those of the Old Covenant

Today in chapter 10 of Hebrews we will see the good news that our sins and iniquities are completely taken away. And, we will see the better news that we can join in with God for the fulfillment of His desire on earth today.

Twice in the book of Hebrews we have God’s new covenant presented. In this new covenant we have Christ to offer to God for our sins; but not only so, we also have the promise of the divine life being imparted into our being. Once again we will enjoy this new covenant on today’s life study of the Bible.
